Tower Bridge

Tower BridgeTower Bridge is often mistakenly called London Bridge, which is actually now a modern bridge 0.5 km west of it. Tower Bridge was built in the reign of Queen Victoria in 1894 and is one of the most famous bridges in the world. The bridge can be raised hydraulically when large boats travel up the river and this still happens quite frequently.

There is an interesting  Visitors Centre that tells the history, shows the engine rooms and also allows visitors to walk in the covered walkway between the 2 towers where they can see fantastic views of London.
