Tate Britain Gallery

The Tate Britain was originally founded as the National Gallery of British Art, but was later named the Tate Gallery after Henry Tate, who laid the foundation stone. 

in 2000, after the opening of 3 other museums, including the Tate Modern, it was renamed the Tate Britain. The building is located on the River Bank at Millbank.

The Tate Britain has the best collections of British Art. Thes include permanent displays by modern artists including David Hockney.
