National Gallery
The National Gallery is located at the north of Trafalgar Square. It wass opened in 1824 and has a collection of 3500 paintings, most of which have been donated to it.
The paintings all date from medieval times to circa 1900 and include contibutions from many of the world's most famous artists. These include such greats as Canaletto, Rembrandt, Van Gogh and Turner.
The National Gallery is unmissable for anyone with an interest in art.
