London Zoo

London Zoo is arguably one of the best known zoos in the world. It was opened in 1828 primarily for scientific research and is still managed by the Zoological Society of London. It is the oldest scientific zoo in the world and has one of the largest collections of animals in the UK. In these days of climate change and other ecological issues, Zoos such as London Zoo have an important role to play in animal conservation and education.
