London Eye

London EyeBuilt to celebrate the new Millennium in 2000, the London Eye has now become one of the major landmark attractions of London. It is located on the South Bank of the River Thames in front of what used to be the Greater London Council building, which is now a hotel, the London Aquarium and Dali musueum.

 

 

London Eye close up The wheel turns very slowly and for most of the time the passengers get on and off it without it stopping, unless there are some with special needs. The complete circle takes approximately 30 minutes and the views are spectacular.

Obviously there can be long queues, so it is best to book in advance if possible.
