Hampton Court

Hampton Court is a royal palace in the South West of London. It was originally built for Cardinal Wolsey in 1514, but King Henry VIII later took possession of it and expanded it. The building was further enlarged during the following centuries and is a mixture of architectural styles. The palace was one of the main homes of the Royal family until George II. Hampton Court is now open to the public and is maintained by Historic Royal Palaces.
